Dear Friends,
As we’re sure you are aware, Little Hands, Inc plays a pivotal role in the overall success of our community. Without our services there are many families who may not have the necessary care in place for their children. Our services allow parents and guardians of these children to work at businesses within our community. Adequate childcare allows for a flourishing local economy. Small businesses, manufacturing plants, utility providers, banks, hospitals, and many more, may all be significantly impacted or reduced in size if their employees didn’t have access to childcare for their children.
Parents and guardians of children who attend Little Hands can be assured their child(ren) is receiving attentive, nurturing care in a safe, clean, secure environment by qualified staff. Little Hands maintains a staff to student ratio that allows for more observant care than a typical in-home daycare. Additionally, Little Hands begins teaching age-appropriate curriculum starting in the infant room. By following this curriculum, children receive early education prior to enrolling in school. Early education assists in the development of well-educated children, who are the future of our local communities.
We strive to keep children who are in our care excited and engaged during their learning journey. In order to do so, we use a rotation of contemporary learning techniques, devices, supplies, and interactive toys. As you’re aware, all of these come at a cost. We are asking for help to raise the funds needed for items listed on the wish list below. These items will directly benefit children who are currently enrolled, and future enrollees. Our goal is to raise $40,000 by June 30, 2021! We know this is a hefty goal, but with your help we can meet or even exceed this goal!
We would like to ask you to consider contributing to our capital campaign, running through June 30, 2021. In addition to or in lieu of a single contribution, we encourage you to consider pledging a monthly donation through year end.
As a generous donor, your name (or business name) will be placed on our Giving Tree and will receive special recognition on our website and Facebook page, unless you wish to remain an anonymous donor.
Thank you for your continued support and consideration,
Little Hands Inc. Staff and Board of Directors

Welcome!
Little Hands Childcare and Development Center is a licensed non-profit childcare center located in Hiawatha, KS. Our doors opened on April 2, 2012 and since then we have grown to a current enrollment of over 74 children. We recently increased our license capacity to care for 80 children ages 2 weeks to 12 years. Little Hands employs 11 full-time and 7 part time staff. We strive to provide an early childhood education to the children we care for through providing high quality staff who have either higher education in the early childhood field or years of experience with appropriate training. Our facility is equipped with six different classrooms, each accommodating a different age group. These separate classrooms allow the teaching staff to provide developmentally appropriate activities to the children of Little Hands to then promote their school readiness skills.
